Friends (old & new),
Waddup waddup! This is KB, & I’m coming at your quick & short with some KB UPDATES!
I have like… 25 new subscribers lol. Welcome to this (somewhat biweekly) (mostly sporradic) newsletter! Be ready for essays, reviews, rants, and updates in your inbox from me. I’m happy you’re here :*
I have a new essay up with HuffPost this morning! It’s about me trying to go to the gynecologist last year, and just how many unnecessary roadblocks Black, trans Texans have in this broken medical system. It’s a little pg-13 (there are a couple curse words here and there) so maybe NSFW, but I’d love to know what you think.
As of February 1, my beloved debut chap, How To Identify Yourself With a Wound, is out in the world <3 <3 <3. So happy this moment has finally come, and tiktok is also apparently happy because I’ve gotten 300ish followers on there over the past 2 days. Are you shocked? Because I am lol; gonna post me reading some poems on there later today! Also, I have 5 signed copies left until I re-up on Saturday. If you haven’t already, snag a copy here.
Last, but certainly not least, I have a new poem published with Just Femme and Dandy (the cutest little queer magazine I recently discovered)! Read my poem and their entire new, beautiful issue here.
That’s it (for now). I’m looking forward to chatting again in two-ish weeks!
Love, peace, & chicken grease,
—KB
